Premium POIs Are Back in the App

While PPOIs were visible on the website, a software glitch caused them to disappear from the Polaris App. Thanks to persistent feedback from users, Polaris has now restored Premium POIs in the latest app update.

This fix ensures that businesses sponsoring clubs and trail systems can once again be easily found by riders on the app. Whether it’s a fuel stop, restaurant, lodging, or repair shop, these points of interest help enhance the rider experience by making essential services more accessible.

How to Check Your Polaris Ride Command™ Version

The latest app version is 9.3.03-30661. If you haven’t received the update yet, your device should automatically install it soon. To check your version:

1. Open the Ride Command™ App
2. Tap the three-bar menu in the top-left corner

Understanding Premium vs. Generic POIs

Many users have noticed outdated generic POIs—businesses that have closed, been renamed, or moved. These appear on the map as black or gray icons (such as a gray bed symbol for lodging). 1. Select the trail in the Trail Manager Map
2. Tap the edit pencil icon
3. Locate the “Visible to Public” checkbox
4. Uncheck the box – the trail will turn white on your map but will no longer be visible on the public map

This feature is perfect for seasonal or temporarily closed trails that may reopen later. Instead of deleting them entirely, clubs can keep them in the system for future use.
