BRP used its biggest annual gathering—Club BRP 2026—to roll out major updates across Can-Am and Sea-Doo, honor top dealers, and expand a safety initiative aimed at keeping trails open for everyone. More than 4,100 dealers and distributors from 81 countries tuned in for the global reveal.

The Big Off-Road Reveals

  • 2026 Can-Am Outlander Electric
BRP is widening its electric footprint with an all-new Outlander Electric ATV powered by its in-house, modular Rotax E-Power powerpack—the same architecture behind Ski-Doo/Lynx electric sleds (2023) and Can-Am’s Pulse/Origin electric bikes (2024). Expect quiet torque and less maintenance with a familiar Can-Am feel.
  • 2026 Can-Am Defender redesign (Ground-Up Overhaul)
The 2026 Can-Am Defender redesign gets a comprehensive redesign aimed at pushing utility-recreation capability even further. BRP is positioning it to remain the go-to workhorse for ranch, farm, and hunt—without losing weekend-trail versatility.
  • Lineup Additions & Tech
    • Outlander MAX 6×6 for serious hauling and traction.
    • Maverick R X rc tuned for rock-crawling abuse.
    • First ATV with semi-active suspension in the Can-Am family—bringing on-the-fly damping smarts to the quad world.

On-Road & Water Updates (Quick Hits)

  • Can-Am Spyder, Ryker, Canyon: fresh colors and 250+ accessories to tailor fit and comfort.
  • Sea-Doo PWCs: an intuitive 10.25″ touchscreen now standard on 2026 RXT-X, FishPro Trophy, Wake Pro, Explorer Pro.
  • Sea-Doo Switch pontoons: select 18′ and 21′ models now available with the 300 hp Rotax 1630 ACE and a larger fuel tank for longer days on the water.

Dealer of the Year: North America Standouts

BRP spotlighted retail excellence with its 2025 Dealer of the Year awards for Can-Am and Sea-Doo in North America:

Can-Am ATVs & SSVs

  • Canada: Powerstore Inc. (Saint John, NB)
  • U.S.: Sheridan Powersports (Sheridan, WY)

“This award is a big deal for our team… we’re incredibly grateful to our customers and community,” said Anthony Brownlee of Sheridan Powersports.

Can-Am Three-Wheel

  • Canada: Jean Morneau Rivière-du-Loup (Rivière-du-Loup, QC)
  • U.S.: Roberts Sports of Malone LLC (Malone, NY)

Sea-Doo PWC & Pontoon

  • Canada: Banner Recreation and Marine (Kelowna, BC)
  • U.S.: RideNow Powersports Chandler (Chandler, AZ)

BRP also issued 58 awards to dealers and distributors across Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and EMEA.

“We have the best retail network in the industry… our aim is to be the most customer-centric partner,” said David Baker, VP & GM, Powersports North America.

Safety on the Front Burner: Responsible Rider Masterclass (Dealer Edition)

BRP is expanding its Responsible Rider Masterclass, created with Tread Lightly!, to include a dealer-specific edition. These free, 15-minute online modules cover Off-Road, Water, and On-Road now (Snow coming soon). The goal: equip dealership teams with practical tools to coach customers on safe, responsible recreation—protecting trail and waterway access while elevating the ownership experience.

Why It Matters to the SXS Nation Community

  • Electric goes mainstream off-road. Outlander Electric signals serious investment in quiet, low-maintenance riding—good for neighbors and access.
  • 2026 Can-Am Defender redesign = more capability. Expect a tougher, smarter utility-rec machine for real-world work that doesn’t feel like a compromise on fun.
  • Semi-active suspension on an ATV. Tech that adapts to terrain in real time should reduce fatigue and expand confidence—especially for mixed-surface riders.
  • Dealers doubling as educators. The Masterclass framework helps keep new riders safer and veterans sharper—key to keeping land managers on our side.
