The 2025 SCORE San Felipe 250, the season opener for the SCORE Championship, proved once again why it’s one of the most brutal and respected races in UTV competition—and Polaris RZR Factory Racing showed up ready to conquer.

Taking on the unforgiving desert terrain, intense heat, and challenging conditions of San Felipe, the Polaris team swept the competition, securing nine out of the top ten positions in the ultra-competitive UTV Pro Open class. It was a jaw-dropping, action-packed performance that left no doubt: the RZR Pro R Factory is truly an unstoppable force.

Heger continues winning streak Makes History—Again

Leading the charge and continuing his incredible winning streak, Brock Heger made history yet again, capturing the UTV Overall and Pro Open victory. It marked his sixth consecutive win—every single race he’s entered recently, he’s stood atop the podium, smiling and celebrating.

Starting third off the line due to a random draw, Heger wasted no time, strategically pushing his Polaris RZR Pro R Factory to the limits as he navigated through the dust, rocks, and washouts of the rugged Baja course. By race mile 35, he had already positioned himself near the front, challenging teammate Justin Morgan and Polaris-supported driver Cayden MacCachren for the lead.

As the miles ticked away, the pressure increased. At mile 200, the race was still anyone’s to win, with MacCachren holding a slight edge on corrected time. But in classic Heger style, when the going got tough, he kicked it up a notch. In the final grueling stretch, Brock unleashed everything the powerful RZR had, overtaking MacCachren and storming across the finish line to cement another epic win.

“It feels incredible to kick off the 2025 SCORE season with an overall win—and to make it six consecutive wins in six starts is pretty surreal,” Brock said after the race. “This San Felipe course was absolutely brutal, and I had my fair share of highs and lows out there. But the Polaris RZR Pro R Factory delivered exactly what I needed, exactly when I needed it. I’m so grateful to have such an amazing team and crew behind me. While Brock Heger’s sixth straight victory stole headlines, it was far from a solo effort. RZR Factory Racing driver Max Eddy Jr. demonstrated his incredible skill and perseverance, powering through to secure a well-earned third-place finish. Eddy Jr., who started the race back in 20th position due to the random draw, proved yet again why he’s considered one of the most tenacious competitors in off-road racing.

Eddy Jr. was relentless throughout the race, meticulously picking off competitors one-by-one as he navigated the punishing terrain. His podium finish is yet another testament to the reliability, strength, and race-ready performance of the Polaris RZR Pro R Factory machine, a platform developed with elite-level off-road racing in mind.

Polaris-Supported Racers Dominate the Podium

Further underscoring Polaris’ dominance, the podium was filled entirely by Polaris-powered racers. Branden Sims, a familiar face among Baja fans and racers alike, drove his race-modified Polaris RZR Pro R to an impressive second place, sandwiched perfectly between Heger and Eddy Jr. Sims fought tirelessly through the challenging desert conditions and added another feather to his cap, showing why he’s always a threat to take the win at any race he enters.

In fourth place came another Polaris star—Wayne Matlock, whose consistency and determination are always admirable in off-road racing circles. Rounding out the top five was Ethan Groom, another Polaris-supported racer who consistently proves himself capable of navigating even the toughest Baja challenges. Together, these racers helped Polaris sweep all five top positions in the prestigious UTV Pro Open class.
