2024 SXS Nation Couples Ride: St. Ignace to Brimley Adventure

There’s something special about sharing the thrill of off-roading with friends and loved ones, and the 2024 SXS Nation Couples Ride from St. Ignace to Brimley was an unforgettable experience that embodied this spirit. Over two days, we covered nearly 210 miles of scenic trails, rugged terrain, and breathtaking views in Michigan’s stunning Upper Peninsula. Here’s a recap of the adventure:

Day 1: 125 Miles of Upper Peninsula Beauty

Our journey began bright and early in St. Ignace, where couples from the SXS Nation community gathered for an adventure-filled day. The energy was palpable as everyone fired up their machines and set off on the trail, with Lake Huron as a gorgeous backdrop.

The first leg of our ride took us through lush forests, rolling hills, and rocky trails, offering a mix of terrain that tested our driving skills while giving us plenty of opportunities to soak in the natural beauty. We made a few pit stops to rest and take in the incredible views along the way. One of the highlights was riding alongside Lake Superior, which has crystal-clear waters and a vast horizon that creates the perfect photo-op.

As the sun set, we arrived at Bay Mills Resort & Casino in Brimley, where we were treated to a well-deserved evening of relaxation. The resort provided a fantastic spot to unwind after a long day on the trails, with great food, entertainment, and the casino for those who wanted to try their luck!

Day 2: 85 Miles Back to St. Ignace

After a restful night at Bay Mills, we geared up for the journey back to St. Ignace. The second day’s ride was a bit shorter but no less exciting, as we covered 85 miles of trails. The ride back was smoother and more relaxed, allowing couples to enjoy the scenery and company truly.

We encountered several picturesque stops along the way, including forested paths and expansive clearings that gave us a real sense of the Upper Peninsula’s vastness. When we arrived back in St. Ignace, everyone was excitedly buzzing, already talking about next year’s ride.
